Nigeria: birth odds and 20 country-data indicators

Read 20 World Bank WDI reference indicators for Nigeria, each with its year, unit and source. Game birthplace weights are separate, and averages do not determine an individual life.

How to read this page

When reading child-health indicators for Nigeria, check the denominator. A rate per thousand live births is not a percentage or an adult’s annual risk. Turning an age-specific group statistic into an individual life would require a much more complete model than this game.

Keep the birth-weighted and population-weighted draws distinct as well. The prototype’s two normalized shares and the sourced population observation are not automatically exact world birth odds for the same year and scope.

Each indicator uses its latest non-empty observation within 2015–2024, so years differ. Some original providers use modeled estimates. Missing values are shown as — and are not imputed.

Bring the reference back to a fictional life

These 20 measures are verifiable environmental references, not a checklist of events a character must experience. They are not all fed directly into the current game engine. One fictional life cannot represent a country, and averages do not determine a person’s lifespan, career or happiness.

The play link draws a random origin using your selected sampling method; it does not guarantee this country. Read different references, then try a random beginning. To revisit a particular decision, branch from a saved choice.
