After an ending, open Life keepsakes and choose a room, album, 90-second film, traits card or private wishes. These are generated in your browser, without a paid AI video service or automatic permanent media hosting. Each work has its own local save or download controls.
Choose the kind of memory you want
The pixel room offers color palettes, layouts and age views. It is a symbolic artwork, not proof that the character owned that exact home. The life album organizes actual timeline entries into chapters and exports HTML that you can later print to PDF through a browser.
The film turns recorded events into a silent 9:16 video. The traits card combines simulated traits and a room in a 1080×1350 PNG. Wishes are text for your future self, stored on the device or exported separately as TXT. A public data card or one-moment card belongs to the sharing panel.
Local settings and exported files are different
Before exporting an album, decide whether to enable the option that includes your private notes in that album. It is off by default. If you enable it, the exported file really contains those words; inspect it before sending. Printing HTML to PDF is a separate browser action.
Save on this device keeps work settings such as palette, layout and wishes. It does not mean an album, picture or completed film has already downloaded. Use the relevant export control for each file. Keep a JSON backup as well if you want an importable life record.
Why a 90-second film takes about 90 seconds
The current implementation draws Canvas frames and records their stream using MediaRecorder. It records for 90 seconds on your device rather than sending a prompt to a server for an instant film. It prioritizes actual milestones, decisions and starred entries; it does not invent unrecorded experiences.
The result is a silent 540×960 vertical video. Background music playing in the game is not automatically mixed into it. The browser chooses a supported MP4 or WebM format, so file extensions can differ between devices. Preview the finished result and then download it.
Keep the recording page visible
Do not switch away, close the work or lock the screen while recording. The current implementation cancels when the page becomes hidden, rather than saving a film with missing frames. You can also cancel deliberately without deleting the original life. Finish recording before moving to another work.
A browser without the required Canvas stream and MediaRecorder support cannot complete this export. Try a supported browser, or save the album and traits card instead. A stalled local recording is not an upload waiting to finish: this flow does not send the journal to a cloud renderer.
Cost, downloads and the limits of hosting
There is currently no per-video paid AI generation call. Recording still uses your device’s processing power, memory, battery and storage. Completion depends on browser support and the device; local creation does not promise instant results on every phone.
The film preview belongs to the open work session, so download it before leaving. Returning to the site does not recover an unsaved video. Albums, films and wishes are not automatically published in the memorials. Save transfers and public posting are separate features, not permanent backups of these media files.
